IANSON.

(Brass, Bellingham chapel N). To M. William Ianson of Highgate, Kendal, Founder of Ianson’s Charity, Who was buried Decr. 4th. He was a man full of good works & alms deeds which he did. The trustees of his charity in 1868, though sensible that the good deeds of Mr. Ianson will outlive either marble or brass, have nevertheless thought meet to renew this simple tribute to his memory; the original memento having long disappeared from the church.

INMAN.

(S). Near this Place is buried Matthew Inman, late of Highgate, who d. the 31st of March 1755 aged 67, Also Margaret his Wife, who d. the 15th of March 1752 aged 54. Likewise five of their Sons viz: Matthew, George, David, Valentine & John. Eleanor Inman their Surviving Da. In Testimony of her filial Duty & Affection caused this Monument to be erected.

(N. W. altar tomb). Charlotte Ann, the Wife of Jacob G. J. Ireland b. 4th June 1802, d. 5th Feb. 1829. Also of Jacob James, eldest Son of the above Charlotte Ann and J. G. J. Ireland, b. 21st May 1825, d. 28th April 1838.

(W). Here lie the Remains of Margaret the Wife of John Ireland who d. Novr. 14th 1783 aged 49. Here also are buried five of their offspring viz. Margaret who d. Feby. 22d 1772 aged 3. Sarah who d. April 1772 aged r. Jane who d. March 28th 1776 aged 9. Mary who d. May 20th 1776 aged 11. Rachel who d. June 1st 1781 aged 6 & Elizabeth Banks their Da. who d. Sepr. 26th 1796 aged 36. Also with his Wife & Children are interred the Remains of John Ireland late of Kendal, Manufacturer who d. May 14th 1808 aged 74.

IRELAND.

(N. altar tomb). Underneath this Stone are deposited the mortal remains of Mary Ann, the Wife of John Ireland Junr. of Kendal who d. 1. on the 24th of Octr. 1826 Aged 32, also of her infant, still-born on the 15th of Sepr. 1824, also of John Ireland of Kendal, who d. the 7th July 1832 Aged 70.

(W. inscription now gone, 1888). S. m. Edward Irving Junr., B. in Stricklandgate 17th Decr. 1791, d. L. 21st April 1824 Aged 32 Y.
